Fresh Garlic Scapes 1/2 lb - garlic scapes are the flower heads of hardneck garlic. These are traditionally used for stirfry dishes in the different Asian cuisines, but very versatile for other recipes. Fresh in a salad, pickled as a preserve, grilled on the BBQ or as a base for a green garlic butter or a pesto. Available for a few short weeks only.
Grown John Sallows, located in Tay Township. John farms garlic and rhubarb. John Sallows farms 'au naturel' or non-certified organic. Since he wants to enjoy his own crops in his own kitchen, he stays away from artificial fertiizers or pesticides.
